Teaching English grammar is very important and many teachers avoid this as much as possible because it is such a distasteful subject for young students.  But it is important enough to a better understanding of English usage so students should be bombarded with as much practice as possible.

Grammar Test Generator: Clauses will do the tasks outlined above.  In addition, you can also format your finished tests the way you want them (you can even paste graphics into the final test you create); save the generated tests in named files, for use in the future you can quickly and easily make up your test data and save it in a format that Grammar Test Generator: Clauses can import and append to the current database of questions and answers.  We have even included a simple search puzzle maker, too.  This is handy for creating search puzzles based on vocabulary.

This issue of Grammar Test Generator deals with clauses.  You can set up quizzes or worksheets for Adverb, Adjective, Noun, and Who/Whom clauses.  After you have generated your quiz, at the top of the page, you will find an option for the teacher to add instructions.  The answers to the Adjective clauses include the word modified and the clause, so these might be options for the quiz – have the student identify them.  The Adverb, Noun and Who/Whom are simply set up for identification.   Of course you could also add other features which the answers don’t cover.  For example, you might just want your kids to identify a subordinate clause or a main clause or perhaps other words in the sentences.  Also you use the input option to add your own database of questions as well.
