The American-Jewish novelist and Holocaust survivor Eliezer Wiesel (usually identified as Elie Wiesel) has authored over forty works.  The Night Test Generator makes teacher questions and answer keys based on Wiesel’s best known work Night, a work that describes his experiences in the Holocaust the times in which he was imprisoned in the notorious concentration camps.

Wiesel is also renowned as a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize which he won in 1986.  He was recognized at that time as a 'messenger to mankind' because of his endeavors to come to terms with the humiliation he and thousands of Jews suffered while interred camps during World War II.

The novel 'Night' employs a fragmented narrative style with shifting point of view and is the first book in a trilogy of his works: 'Night,' 'Dawn,' and 'Day.'  All of these project Elie's condition of mind during and after the Holocaust. 

For a personal image of existence and struggle during malevolence of Nazi Germany your students will do well to read this classic work.
