Teacher Hamlet Test Kit


          This Teacher Hamlet Test Kit is a collection of tests and collateral material, organized by scenes from Shakespeare’s play Hamlet.

          These tests were compiled and refined over a period of two years of teaching Hamlet in a senior English class on the high school level.  The tests are all multiple choice (except for alternates) and each includes an answer sheet (except #9).  In most cases there are also ALTERNATE tests for the same scenes.  We used these for make up purposes or as tests for different classes during a day of testing.  All of the tests are in Word format, so you can alter them, subtract from them, or add your own ideas.

       

In addition to the test you will find a couple of other activity sheets.

Hamlet Test and Answer Sheet – This is a full blown fill-in test for the play Hamlet.  We have also included the answers for the test.

Hamlet Reading Assignment Schedule – This is a syllabus for reading the play over several class periods.  The breakdown follows the test collection, and you can modify it according to days and dates you might be studying the play.

Memorize These Passages – This is a collection of famous quotations from the play and gives the students something to focus on.

Nice Lines (Act III) – This is a quiz that will test your students attention to characters and places in the play.  The quiz focuses on Act III only.

Internet Sources -- Over 60 links on the web that will provide you with and endless supply of information, graphics, tests, video and audio to use in your classes.  In .html and .rtf formats.
