Hans Christian Andersen (April 2, 1805 – August 4, 1875) was a Danish author and poet, most famous for his fairy tales. Among his best-known stories "The Snow Queen", "The Little Mermaid", "The Emperor's New Clothes" and "The Ugly Duckling". During Andersen's lifetime he was feted by Royalty and acclaimed as having brought joy to children across Europe. His fairy tales have been translated into well over a hundred languages and continue to be published in "millions of copies all over the world".

The Literary Test Generators are the forerunner of a new generation of test generating programs.  They will create unique tests based on assorted themes.  Each generator offers its own types of tests like multiple choice tests, short answer tests, open ended question tests, vocabulary tests, quotation tests, etc..  Each program also has its own unique database of questions. 

Hans Christian Anderson Test Generator has many of the same features as our other test generators.

• Generate randomized tests from the 250 questions database.  These included short answer questions (can be open ended), Word Study questions, and True or False questions.
   
• Generate category tests:  These included short answer questions, and vocabulary questions.  8 Categories to choose from.
   
• Generate selected question tests, selecting from 8 categories: These include short answer (can be open ended) questions.
   
• Generate word puzzles from the list of vocabulary words included.

You also have the option of typing directly in the test window to add or change any of the questions or answers after you generate a test.  When you are satisfied with the generated test, you will be able to save the test as a text file.  This file can be opened in any word processor, modified, and then printed for distribution or photocopying.

The program contains questions for the following stories by Anderson: The Little Mermaid, The Tinder-Box, Thumbelina, and The Emperor’s New Suit.  The questions are based on the original stories by Anderson -- NOT any modern versions.
