The Tempest is a play written by William Shakespeare. It is generally accepted to be Shakespeare's last play solely written by him. Although listed as a comedy in the first Folio, many modern editors have relabeled the play a romance. First published in the First Folio of 1623, but generally dated to 1610-11, it did not attract a significant amount of attention before the closing of the theatres in 1642, and after the Restoration it attained great popularity only in adapted versions. Theatre productions returned conclusively to the original Shakespearean text in the mid-nineteenth century. In the twentieth century the play received a sweeping re-appraisal by critics and scholars, to the point that it is now considered one of Shakespeare's greatest works.

The Literary Test Generators are the forerunner of a new generation of test generating programs.  They will create unique tests based on assorted themes.  Each generator offers its own types of tests like multiple choice tests, short answer tests, open ended question tests, vocabulary tests, quotation tests, etc..  Each program also has its own unique database of questions. 

This is a Windows PC program, and it can do the following:

• Generate randomized tests from the 70 questions database.  These included short answer questions (can be open ended)
   
• Generate category tests:  These included short answer questions by chapters.  5 ACTS to choose from.
   
• Generate selected question tests, selecting from 70 questions database: These include short answer (can be open ended) questions.
   
• Generate word puzzles from the list of vocabulary words included.

You also have the option of typing directly in the test window to add or change any of the questions or answers after you generate a test.  When you are satisfied with the generated test, you will be able to save the test as a text file.  This file can be opened in any word processor, modified, and then printed for distribution or photocopying.
